Ausvet was established as a trust in 1996. On 1 July 2016 it changed to a proprietary limited company registered with ASIC. Ausvet Pty Ltd is fully owned by (and operates for taxation purposes as a consolidated group with) the Ausvet Group Pty Ltd, an Australian registered proprietary limited company with four shareholders. Ausvet Europe, a société par actions simplifiée in France is a fully owned subsidiary of Ausvet Group. Ausvet has offices in Fremantle (AUS), Lyon (FRA) and representative offices in Jakarta (Indonesia) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). In choosing to incorporate as a limited liability company, Ausvet’s directors have been able to take on a broader range of opportunities to grow the company, to achieve the company’s mission.
The Ausvet Board is comprised of a Non-Executive Director Erica Haddon who also performs the role of Board Chair, together with three Executive Directors Dr Ben Madin, Dr Brendan Cowled and Dr Angus Cameron. Our Chair was appointed in February 2021, with all other directors appointed in June 2016; all have served continuously since appointment. Under the proposed director rotation changes to the constitution, they will be required to retire after three years, and can nominate for re-election.
